India Law Simplified provides AI-assisted legal, tax and compliance information, calculators and document drafts for India. It is an informational and self-help tool. Nothing here is legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and using it creates no advocate-client, CA-client or other professional relationship. We position ourselves as an AI research and drafting assistant consistent with Bar Council of India norms. Consult a licensed advocate, Chartered Accountant or Company Secretary before acting on anything you read here.
Accuracy, and why law changes faster than content
We work from government bare Acts and official sources, but rates, thresholds and due dates change with every Finance Act, notification and circular. We do not warrant that any figure or statement is current, complete or applicable to your situation. This is not a disclaimer for its own sake — it is the single most likely way a page here can be wrong. Verify the current position on the official portal or with a professional before you file or rely on anything.
AI output needs checking, particularly the specifics
Answers, drafts and document extractions are generated by AI and may contain errors or omissions. Review every output carefully — especially names, amounts, dates and section references — before relying on or filing anything. Section numbers deserve particular attention since the criminal codes changed to the BNS, BNSS and BSA in 2024, and a citation to the older code may be a stale reference rather than a deliberate mapping.
Your responsibilities

Uploaded documents are processed in real time to generate your answers and are not stored by us — the privacy policy explains how data is handled and how Google Gemini is used as an AI sub-processor under the DPDP Act 2023.

Document drafts you generate are yours to use; government forms, Acts and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and any competitor names used in comparisons are their owners' trademarks used for nominative comparison only. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss, penalty, interest, missed deadline or damage arising from use of or reliance on the service, which is provided "as is" without warranties. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with disputes subject to the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
